Nalut Celebration to honor martyrs of 17th Revolution of February

  Nalut, 22 February, 2021 (Lana) - A celebration in Nalut Monday, to honor the martyrs of the 17th February revolution from the people of the city, in the midst of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the revolution.  The ceremony was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohamed al-Haddad, Major General Usama Jawili, Commander of the Western Military Region, Colonel Mohamed Qununu, the official spokesman for Burkan Al-Ghdhab  Operation, the chiefs of staff, a number of Libyan army officers, the Municipal Council of Nalut, the families of the martyrs, and a number of invitees. During the celebration, certificates of honor were awarded to the families of the martyrs who sacrificed their, lives for the sake of the homeland, and shields of honor were awarded to Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, Lieutenant General Al-Mahdi Al-Sharif, Major General Usama Gweli, Minister of Interior Fathi Bashagha, Colonel Mohamed Qununu, the Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade, and a number of officers. The speeches delivered at the celebration saluted the righteous martyrs on the tenth anniversary of the revolution, who paid their lives for the sake of the nation and escaped from its life in heroic epics recorded by history in letters of light. Speakers welcomed the outcomes of the Geneva Conference and the election of the executive authority, stressing that the next stage will be the stage of building, reconstruction and institution building, including the military establishment. The speakers called for the culture of peaceful rotation of power and for the military establishment to devote itself to capacity building of young people qualified to build a modern Libya in all fields.
