Conclusion of consultative meeting of members of House of Representatives, Representative "Leno" confirms determination of deputies to give a vote of confidence to new executive authority.

Tripoli, 16 February 2021 (Lana) - The consultative meeting of the House of Representatives in the city of Sabratha concluded Monday evening, with the presence of 77 deputies to prepare for the holding of the preliminary session, Tuesday, at the Talil tourist resort.  

The second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives in Tripoli, Mohamed Leno said that the meeting discussed issued to be debated in the preliminary session tomorrow, which is expected to complete the quorum of 91 deputies.

In a statement to Lana correspondent, he explained that the themes of the preliminary session will focus on inviting the Presidency Council and the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity to expedite the presentation of members of his government and present its programme to obtain the confidence of the House of Representatives, stressing that there is great insistence among the representatives to give confidence to the new Presidential Council and the government.

 Leno added in his statement that tomorrow's session will also make some amendments to the internal regulations for the work of the House of Representatives, as well as the issue of changing the parliament’s presidency.
