Tripoli, 14 February, 2021 (Lana) - The new head of the national unity government, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, began his deliberations and consultations to form his new government on Saturday. Dabaiba said in a tweet on Twitter: "We have already started the process of evaluating all the nominations and resumes we received." The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the competencies joining the new government, saying: “Our choices will be according to competency standards, taking into account diversity and broad participation.”
He added, "We will not disappoint the hopes placed on us, God willing, as the Libyan people always deserve the best." This came at a time when the media office of Dabaiba said that the head of the national government-designate began his deliberations to form the new transitional government, and he will begin his work on it in the coming days. The media office added that Dabaiba will communicate with the House of Representatives according to its 13 districts, hoping that the parliament will convene in a plenary session at the earliest opportunity. The office confirmed that Dabaiba would be ready to present the government at the request of the House of Representatives, after completing its quorum to grant it confidence on the scheduled date.
