Political advisor to African Parliament calls for implementation of UN initiative to expel foreign fighters from Libya.

 Cairo, 31 January 2021 (Lana) - The political advisor of the African Parliament, Mustafa El-Gendy, Saturday, called on the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council to accelerate the implementation of the initiative and called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, to expel all foreign mercenaries from Libyan soil. 

 In a press statement, El-Gendy stressed that the support and assistance of the whole world to this call from the Secretary-General of the United Nations is the only and real way to restore stability and security inside Libya, praising the confirmation of the UN envoy to Libya Stephanie Williams that the ceasefire agreement in Libya signed in Geneva in October The past is still standing, and that the 5 + 5 military committee is working to remove all mercenaries from Libya and that there is continuous progress in the economic field that is being made in Libya. El-Gendy appealed to all political forces inside Libya and the Libyan people to rally around the draft constitution to end all external interference within the internal Libyan affairs, expressing full confidence in the Libyan people giving priority to the supreme interests of their country and for the return of security and stability inside Libya and ending all conflicts and divisions and uniting the Libyans to confront terrorist and expiatory groups.
