Tripoli, January 26, 2021 (LANA) - Member of the Presidential Council, "Mohamed Ammari," discussed today, Tuesday, with the Italian ambassador to Libya, "Giuseppe Buccino", the bilateral relations between the two countries and the means of strengthening them.

Amari discussed with "Buccino" developments in the current political situation and the chances of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum succeeding in reaching the formation of a new executive authority.

During the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office, Amari provided a full explanation of all the options presented in this context.

The two sides also discussed the discussion of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding regarding the teaching of the Italian language at the secondary education stage as an optional language, the formation of a joint committee to oversee the program, and the training of Libyan teachers to carry out this task in one of the well-known Italian universities in this field if the epidemiological situation in Italy improves.

The two parties emphasized the importance of communication between them to implement what was agreed upon in the field of education, as well as joint coordination with regard to the current political developments.
