Tripoli, 23 January 2021 (Lana) The Minister of Defense, Salah El-Din Al-Namrouch, and Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Haddad, discussed with Chadian President Idris Dubai ways to enhance and develop cooperation between the Libyan and Chadian ministries of defense.  

This came during the visit of Al-Namrouch, Al-Haddad and a group of officers and advisors to Chad within the framework of the efforts made by the Ministry of Defense to strengthen and develop cooperation relations with various friendly and brotherly countries, especially neighboring countries.

The Ministry of Defense stated in a statement that the two sides discussed, during a meeting held in the presence of Chadian Minister of Defense Mohamed Abali Saleh, mechanisms to protect, secure and monitor the Libyan-Chadian borders, and to cooperate in order to reduce illegal immigration and combat terrorism and organized crime.

According to the statement, President Debi stressed during the meeting that the Republic of Chad supports peace, stability and security in Libya.
