Siala discusses with the South Korean ambassador to Libya return of Korean companies to resume their infrastructure and reconstruction projects.

 Tripoli, 23 January 23, 2021 (Lana) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord, Mohamed Al-Taher Siala, met Saturday, at the headquarters of the Ministry's office in the capital, Tripoli, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Libya, Lee Sang-su, in the presence of the Director of the Department of Asia and Australia Affairs at the Ministry, Mohamed Al-Zanati .  

Media office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a post on its official Facebook page that the foreign minister welcomed the Korean ambassador, assuring him of the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

Siala also stressed during the meeting the importance of the embassy returning to conduct its business in Tripoli in light of the current stable security conditions, noting the contribution of Korean companies to development, infrastructure and electricity projects in Libya.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Libya expressed his country's support for the government and people of Libya in their journey towards achieving security and stability, stressing the desire of Korean companies to return, resume their work and complete long-stalled projects.
