Spanish Foreign Ministry Welcomes Libyan Agreement to Hold Elections on Dec.

Madrid, 19 November 2020(Lana) Spanish Foreign Affairs Ministry on Wednesday issued a statement on the decision taken by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, to hold presidential and parliamentary elections on Dec.24, 2021. The Spanish Government welcomed the decision, urging the participants to keep up the spirit of consensus in the coming sessions, to reach agreement on preparing for those elections and vital issues otherwise. The Spanish Government hailed contribution of Libyan women in the Forum, and their demands for greater participation of women in the Libyan politics, according to a statement published by the Libyan embassy in Madrid on its SMS page. =Lana=
