Tripoli, November 16, 2020 (LANA) - Chairman of the Supreme Council,
Khaled Al-Mishri, discussed today, Monday, with the Maltese Foreign
Minister, "Evarist Bartolo", issues of common interest and means of
cooperation and strengthening the relationship between the two
countries.
This came during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Supreme
Council of State in the capital, Tripoli.
The council's media office stated on its electronic page that
Al-Mashri delivered a written letter to the Maltese president
thanking him for the positive role that neighboring Malta plays in
resolving the Libyan crisis and making the Libyan political dialogue
succeed.
He added that the meeting touched on the ongoing consultations in
Tunisia and the proposed schedule for conducting the elections on
December 24, 2021, as Al-Mishri welcomed this agreement, adding that
a referendum on the constitution could be held on February 17th.
Al-Mashri stressed the keenness of the Supreme State Council to
ensure that Libya moves to the desired stage of stability on solid
and solid foundations.
