UNSMIL congratulates the citizens of the municipalities of Southern Zawiya, Haraba, Jado and Kabaw for electing their municipal councils.

TRIPOLI, October 21, 2020 (Lana) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) on Monday evening congratulated the citizens of The Southern Zawia Municipality, Haraba, Jado and Kabaw for electing their municipal councils. The UN Support Mission in Libya said on its Facebook account that it salutes the determination of the citizens of the four municipalities to exercise their democratic rights. UNSMIL also commended the work of the Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections in organizing transparent and credible municipal elections throughout Libya while ensuring the observance of necessary health requirements. Earlier today, the Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections announced the preliminary results of the municipal council elections in the Southern Zawia Muncipality, Kabaw, Haraba and Jado, which took place on October 15th. =Lana=
