The German ambassador to Libya discusses with officials of the Electricity Company proposals to get out of the electricity crisis in Libya.

Tripoli, September 22, 2020 (LANA) - The German ambassador to Libya, Oliver Ovtsha, discussed ,on Tuesday, a set of proposals to get out of the electricity crisis in Libya with the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company. The General Electricity Company said on its official page that the visit of the German ambassador and the corresponding delegation to its headquarters this afternoon took place in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Cooperation of European Affairs, and was received by the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, the General Manager and a number of company officials. The company explained that the German delegation held a meeting with its officials, during which they were informed of the current situation of the company and the difficulties it faces, in light of the large deficit in meeting the demand for electric power, through a visual presentation made by the General Electricity Company at the beginning of the meeting. The company added that the German ambassador reviewed during the meeting a set of proposals to get out of the electricity crisis, which were represented in addressing transparency and decision-making mechanisms, and providing a safe and sufficient environment to increase investor confidence. The General Electricity Company indicated that the German ambassador also provided visions for developing human resources and training, focusing on consumer awareness and rationalization, and emphasized the importance of exploiting renewable energy projects. ...
