Presidency Council Declares 6 PM to 6 AM Curfew Starting Sunday.

Tripoli, 22 March 2020(Lana) GNA Presidency Council has announced that a 12 hour curfew will be observed throughout Libya starting from Sunday March 22. The decision NO 215 of 2020, issued by the council imposes a 6 pm to 6 am curfew throughout Libya starting from Sunday 22 March 2020, and can be re-adjusted in accordance with crisis requirement. The decision excluded professions of special nature like sovereign jobs, security and health-care professionals energy, environment and communications workers as well as telecommunications and cargo workers. The third article of the decision said strict order will be in place for closing down educational institutions, mosques, restaurants, social events halls, parks, clubs, shops and stores. Mass transport means will also be banned. Article 5 excluded from closure food shops, bakeries, and gas stations during curfew time. The Article 6 said the decision will be executed by the Ministry of Interior, the Army and other law enforcement agencies in coordination with relevant ministries and municipalities.
