Tunisian President Calls on America to Act to Solve Libyan Crisis.

Tunis, 19 February 2020(Lana) Tunisian President Qeis Saied has called on the United States to support a track leading to a political solution in Libya, that respects of international legitimacy and save blood of Libyans. This came at a meeting Saied held at Carthag Palace with Head of Armed Services at the US Congress Adam Smith, who was on a visit to Tunisia. According to a statement by the Tunisian Presidency, Saied stressed, at the meeting, Tunisia's position which calls for a Libyan solution away from foreign interventions. On his part, the Head of Armed Services at the US Congress said his country was prepared to support fledging democracy in Tunisia in all fields. Tunisia, which boycotted the Berlin Conference, because of late invitation, is seeking to catch up with the diplomatic drive to solve the crisis in Libya. Tunisian representative at Munich Security Conference said his country must join the work teams later on, as part of follow up of the Berlin Conference track including in the security, economic and humanitarian areas. =Lana=
