Chairman of AU High-Level Committee on Libya Issues New Proposal to Help Libyan Parties Overcome Differences.

Brazzaville, 8August 2017(Lana) President Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo has issued a new proposal which calls for a meeting to be convened, to prepare for the Libyan Reconciliation Conference in Brazzaville as a soon as possible. The Chairman of the AU Peace and Security Council welcomed the proposals, made of President Nguesso in his capacity as the Chairman of the AU High-Level Committee on Libya, the proposals were also welcomed by Libyan Representative, the League of Arab States, the United Nations and the European Union. The Council said the solution of the crisis in Libya was in the hands of Libyan themselves, and the role of the African Union and the international community was to offer support for the Libyan parties to overcome their differences. =Lana=
